Our Programs

Community-Led AI Audits

Community-led AI audits are sociotechnical audits where our team partners with an external organization, typically a civiil society organization, to design and perform an audit of an AI system. Our research questions, approach, and findings are agreed upon with our community partner. Eticas Foundation offers community-led audits pro bono to our community partners and independently fundraises for each audit.

Adversarial Audits

Adversarial audits are mixed-method, third-party audits that examine the impact and functioning of an algorithmic system in order to detect potential anomalies or practices that could be unfair or harmful towards protected groups or society as a whole, without access to the AI system’s source code. Our team launched this practice in 2023, and all adversarial audits are pro bono.

Public Interest Audits

Interest audits are experimental projects that the Eticas team and our board of advisors conduct, spotlighting unique vulnerabilities, limitations, and room for improvement impacting the public as a whole.
